School Council

The school council are here to help...

We are very proud to introduce our 2024/25 School Council. The school council meet every half term and discuss ways we can help the pupils in our school.

In Autumn 1, we met with Mrs. McPherson and she asked us what we thought the role of the school council is. She then asked us to gather some thoughts from our classes to see what we thought about our Art and DT curriculum because it is on our School Improvement Plan this year, and we want to support the teachers to make our curriculum the best it can be.

In Autumn 2, we focussed on how the School Council can get involved in Fundraising so that we can buy a school mini-bus!

In Spring 1, we were thinking about how we could keep our school toilets clean and tidy and help children with their behaviour when they go in there. The children came up with some excellent ideas, and we will be creating Posters to remind the children how to behave in the toilet.

In Spring 2, the School Council will be conducting a Pupil Questionnaire to assess how everyone is feeling about school.

In Summer 1, we looked at our 'Reading for Enjoyment' provision and the School Council are gathering ideas from their classes for how we can make this better for everyone next year.
